Keepmoant Begin a New Blackburn Ecohouse Project
Keepmoat has launched a new ambitious project, Blackburn. Its goal is to make private homes in the UK more economical and eco-friendly. But what does the Blackburn project include, and what are its prospects? Let’s take a look at this together.
The Main Source: Work starts on Keepmoat’s £31m Blackburn project
What Included in the Blackburn Ecohouse Project
In the project’s first stage, the company allocates £31 million. These funds are directed towards constructing 205 houses using advanced new technology. Of these houses, 57 will be built with the Great Places Housing Association. It means 37 houses will be available for rent, while 20 will be sold to Plumlife Homes company.
So, what does this project entail? The new homes will be constructed using advanced technologies such as solar panels, a new heat storage system, drainage systems for keeping rainwater, and much more. The new houses will have 1 to 4 bedrooms, parking spaces, and playgrounds. Additionally, the architects intended to place the homes as close as possible to the Fishmoor Reservoir to create more opportunities for active recreation and spending time in nature.
What Plans Do Developers Have for This Project?
The primary aim is to create new, ecological, and energy-efficient homes that harmoniously blend with nature and offer the most modern amenities. The architects also wanted to create affordable opportunities for active recreation and more time spent in nature.
Keepmoat’s regional managing director, Peter Barlow, commented: “We’re thrilled to see work start on-site at Water’s Edge. The development, sitting close to the town center and key employment hubs, will complement the area by adding vibrancy to the existing community and introduce formal public open space and a network of cycle and footpath links throughout the site.”
Fencyx, as one of the leaders in the UK building industry, also followed on this project. Our company proposes advanced eco-materials, like timber, outdoor, insulation, and much more, that may make your homes more efficient and comfortable.
