Insulation contractors move to using green pallets

The use of renewable packaging in the construction industry is becoming increasingly popular. A few months ago, we wrote about plasterboard manufacturers using new green pallets. Now, it’s time for insulation material manufacturers. But why have contractors started to use new containers, and why is it so important for the building industry?

The main source: Insulation producer switches to green pallets

Why did contractors start using green pallets?

There are a few reasons for that. First of all, it decreases wood consumption and reduces the amount of debris. According to statistics, nearly 20 million new pallets are produced in the UK. But 90% of them are utilized after it first used. So, the second reason for introducing new green pallets is to increase their stability and durability.

Why it’s important to use green pallets?

As it was told earlier, the using of new recyclable pallets helps to decrease the consumption of wood materials and produce less amount of debris. Also, it may decrease the final price for building materials, due to decreasing the price of containers.

Etex UK insulation leader Theresa McLean said: “Having the opportunity to reduce hundreds of tonnes of waste within our supply chain made joining the Pallet Loop an easy decision for us. By partnering with the Pallet Loop, we can, crucially, lower the amount of construction waste that goes to landfill.

Paul Lewis, founder of the Pallet Loop, said: “The company’s decision to start transporting their insulation products on our green reusable pallets provides further evidence that the Pallet Loop is the right thing to do for the construction industry and the planet. It’s an exciting time for everyone linked with the Pallet Loop. The number of green Loop pallets being returned for reuse is increasing week on week and, as more green pallets enter the building materials supply chain this year, there will be even more opportunities for pallet recipients to save money, reduce waste, and cut their carbon footprint.”

Fencyx, as one of the leaders in the construction industry, is positive about the trend towards the introduction of reusable packaging. Our company has been working with this for a long time, offering our clients appropriate solutions.
