British startups have invented a new mega element to make energy much cheaper
British startup Caldera has presented a new device that may change the energy industry for decades. It`s about a new type of heat mega cell powered by solar energy. But how does this thing work, and which benefits it may bring?
The main source: UK startup develops heat ‘megacell’ for cheap solar
How does this new technology work?
The main secret of this technology is in manufacturing materials. Developers create shells and internal parts from aluminum and volcanic rock. These materials allow for keeping heat at 500 degrees Celsius and deliver hot water and steam up to 210 degrees Celsius.
Also, this device does not depend on central supply lines in the plan of energy and water. The heating process uses solar power, and water may be taken from underground deposits near their location.
Chief executive Caldera James Macnaghten said: “Most people think the steam age ended last century – but it has never gone away,” he said. “Around 70% of UK industrial energy demand is for heat, with industrial steam accounting for 31% of the total. This steam is crucial for processes in sectors like pharmaceuticals, food manufacturing, and brewing, and is typically generated by boilers burning gas or oil.”
What benefits does this mega element give?
There are a lot of benefits, which this technology may give. First, and the main, it decreases the cost of energy. Using their solar energy and converting it to heat companies may save a lot of money on payments for energy resources. Also, they may better plan their budget, because it does not already depend on the prices of energy resources.
The second is saving time and money on supply lines. With this mega cell no more need to wait months for leading communications to your business. These products are installed within a few hours and can be put into operation immediately. In addition, the company plans to make its product more mobile so that it can be transported by truck.
Is waiting, the first such station may be put into operation in 2025.
Fencyx, as one of the leaders in the UK building industry, is glad to see the presentation of such a project. This invention will greatly simplify life not only for builders and large companies but also for private citizens, reducing their costs for utility services.
